“It borders on the supernatural” – The Times “The outcome of the recent UK general election highlights a major transformation in national consciousness,” says Dr Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain, in the opening article of this issue. Referring to comments from both leading politicians and the media, he reflects on the new atmosphere of cooperation in British politics, and attributes it to the growing coherence in world consciousness created by Maharishi’s programmes. Celebration of Akshaya Tritiya – the Day of Plans launched for Maharishi Peace Colony on Edinburgh Waterfront The unlimited source of power within “May God bless every man to turn within and tap the unlimited source of power that lies within.” – Maharishi, July 1960. He spent much of the following year in London, using it as a base from which to visit other parts of the country and various countries in Europe, spreading his message that life is bliss. An interesting article about this new building that is at the cutting edge of sustainable construction. TM taps into natural brain mode A review of the new EEG study, published in February in the US journal Cognitive Processing, that indicates that people who practise Transcendental Meditation are able to systematically tap into what scientists are calling the default mode of brain functioning, a natural ‘ground state’ of the brain that is experienced when individuals are resting but alert. Guru Purnima Celebration at MERU Guru Purnima is the day in the Vedic Calendar – traditionally celebrated on the full moon in July – that is dedicated to honouring the Masters of the eternal Vedic Tradition of knowledge.
